The Council for Gender Equity on the Faculty (CoGen) seeks new members from the following colleges to work towards the progress of gender equity:

  • College of Agricultural Sciences
  • Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering
  • College of Health and Human Sciences
  • The University Libraries
  • The College of Natural Sciences

CoGen members serve staggered three-year terms and are eligible twice for reappointment. Many of the issues we address are time-sensitive, and thus regular participation and meeting attendance is important. During Spring 2022, we established four working groups: parental leave & childcare, organizing the Provost’s Ethics colloquium and a related seminar series, service load equity, and collaborating with other groups across campus to create a common agenda.

CoGen is charged with addressing a number of issues that influence gender equity on our campus. Some of these issues may be sensitive and may require confidentiality.

By submitting your application and typing your name below, you agree to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive topics and personnel issues discussed at all CoGen meetings.`

The application due date has been extended to
Friday, April 8, 2022.

  • Applicants should be interested in joining one of these working groups, which will meet regularly as needed.
  • Working group topics may change each semester depending on current issues at CSU, interests of CoGen, and feedback from the CSU community via monthly office hours.
  • CoGen holds office hours the first Wednesday of the month from 1:30-2:30p
  • CoGen participates in a monthly full committee meeting on the third Wednesday of the month 1:30-3p.
  • Your application indicates your availability to attend the regularly-scheduled CoGen meetings and to devote time outside of those meetings.
